Vail Cascade Resort & Spa and Oskar Blues Brewery Host ‘Taste of Ale’ During 22nd Annual Taste of Vail
Executive Chef Todd Bemis and Head Brewer Dave Chichura showcase craft beers and regional cuisine
VAIL, Colo. – Mar. 30, 2012 – Nationally recognized as a brewmaster’s haven, Colorado is home to more than 150 craft breweries. Paying homage to the barley, hops and avant-garde brewmasters that fill our mugs, the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa and Oskar Blues Brewery are hosting the 1st Annual Taste of Ale, Apr. 6-7 at the hotel in Cascade Village. The two-day event will include a craft beer and food pairing experience with Head Brewer Dave Chichura and Executive Chef Todd Bemis on Friday and a complimentary Meet the Brewmaster event on Saturday. The Fireside Bar will feature Oskar Blues craft beer specials all weekend, over the duration of Taste of Vail.
Internationally recognized as one of the world’s best ski resorts, Vail attracts visitors with its diverse award-winning terrain, but it’s the town’s off-the-slopes quintessential charm, cachet, and cuisine that truly endears. For 22 years, Taste of Vail has showcased the town’s diverse and ever-evolving culinary palate and this year Vail Cascade gives Colorado’s craft beer movement a fitting platform. Taste of Ale was created to showcase the refined culinary appeal of expertly paired craft beers with complementary, regionally-inspired cuisine. This year, Vail Cascade will feature the sudsy delights of Oskar Blues, a Longmont based brewery, known for an eclectic line up of bodacious canned craft beers.
Taste of Ale Details
