Vail Cascade Resort, a Colorado meeting facility, Appoints Anna Mattingly to National Sales Manager
Formerly with Resort at Squaw Creek, Mattingly brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of new best practices
VAIL, CO – Apr. 2, 2012 – Brett Schoenfield, general manager at Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, has appointed Anna Mattingly to national sales manager at this Vail mountain resort. Mattingly will be based in Vail and oversee national sales efforts for the consumer goods and retail; manufacturing; publishing and information media, and electronics market segments. Vail Cascade has seen steady growth in these markets during the past few years and with a dedicated sales manager now in place, hotel management project continued sales momentum through organic growth and aggressive new business efforts.
With more than 10 years of competitive sales and marketing experience, Mattingly brings a new perspective to help strengthen group sales efforts and uncover new opportunities for the Vail hotel to compete nationally. Prior to joining the Vail Cascade, Mattingly held key positions at The Resort at Squaw Creek and The Village at Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, CA and Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in Sacramento, CA that helped her gain new market insights, sales strategies and practices she hopes to implement at the Vail Cascade. As National Sales Manager at The Resort and Squaw Creek, Vail Cascade’s sister property, Mattingly specialized in the Midwest market with a vertical market focus on incentive houses. She served as the Director of Marketing and PR for the incentive houses infinity team, during which time she also developed marketing initiatives to drive Colorado meeting business.
“We are excited to have Anna on board helping strengthen our foothold in these key national markets and strengthen our identity as a Vail Colorado ski resort and Vail conference center,” said Schoenfield. “Her background in luxury mountain hotel sales combined with the skills and initiatives she’s spearheaded make her an invaluable asset to our sales team.”
