ARIA SPA & CLUB OFFERS FIVE-WEEK SKI CONDITIONING PROGRAM TO HELP LOCALS PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON

VAIL, Colo. – Sept. 14, 2009 – Aria Spa & Club at the Vail Cascade launches its annual six-week ski conditioning program to help skiers and snowboarders shape up for the season. Beginning Oct. 12, Aria will offer five ski conditioning programs each week culminating on Wednesday, Nov. 18 – two days before Vail Mountain is scheduled to open.

Classes are open to Aria members and are offered for the five-week period on Monday at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday at 6:15 a.m., Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Thursday at 6:15 a.m. Certified and trained staff guide participants through a workout that replicated the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team’s dry-land training workout. The workout regime is customized to focus on leg strength and conditioning, plyometrics, agility, dynamics and core conditioning.

In addition to the classes, Aria will host two parties for ski conditioning participants to get them geared up for the season. Parties will be hosted on Oct. 14 and Nov. 18 from 7-9 p.m. featuring prize giveaways, complimentary beer, wine and appetizers. Sponsors such as Bern Helmets, Surefoot, Freeskier Magazine, Snowboarder Magazine, Vail Mountain, American Body Building, Red Bull, Burton, Spyder and many others will provide special giveaways and offers throughout the ski conditioning parties. In addition, all attendees will get free subscriptions to Freeskier and Snowboard magazines. A number of prizes will be given away at the final party on Nov. 18 including the grand prizes of a one-month membership and spa treatment, as well as two Bern helmets. 

Aria Club is the fitness facility of choice for Vail Valley residents, visiting guests and professional athletes. In addition to an extensive list of athletic pursuits, including high-tech machines, an indoor running track, tennis courts, racquetball and squash courts, a basketball gymnasium, an outdoor swimming pool, and a calendar full of unique classes, the Club’s training staff sets this gem apart.

In addition, Aria Spa is offering 40 percent off all spa services (excluding Songs of the Mountains packages and waxing) and 20 percent off all nail services from Sept. 16 through Nov. 15, 2009 for ski conditioning participants to sooth their sore muscles. Aria is recognized locally and nationally as one of the top spas in the Vail Valley and in Colorado.

 
The Vail Cascade also is offering Ski Conditioning Boot Camp weekends for an intensified training experience. During the weekends of Nov. 6-8 and Nov. 13-15, 2009, skiers and riders can shape up for the season for $99 per night. The offer includes a one-night hotel stay, access to Aria Spa & Club, admission to unlimited ski conditioning and athletic yoga classes at Aria, and continental breakfast. Guests can also enjoy 40 percent off of treatments at Aria Spa; the ideal remedy for soothing newly relocated ski and snowboard muscles. During these two special weekends, Aria Club is adding six ski- and snowboard-specific conditioning classes, four ski conditioning classes and two athletic yoga classes to an already packed schedule of training opportunities.

The 292-room Vail Cascade offers 27 suites, more than 80 spacious condominiums and private homes to choose from.
