Tough Mudder at Beaver Creek
When: From 06/09/2012 to 06/10/2012
Not for the faint of heart, Tough Mudder at Beaver Creek puts athletes of all levels to the ultimate test, and Beaver Creek takes it a step further with a start elevation of 8,100 feet. Described as a mix of Ironman meets Burning Man, Tough Mudder tests competitors' all-around strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The 10+-mile obstacle course is complete with 22 military-style challenges including electric shocks, ice-cold plunges, eight-foot walls, barbed-wire crawls, 100-foot long mud pits and the patented FireWalker gauntlet of flames. Designed by British Special Forces, Tough Mudder is recognized as the most difficult mud-run on the circuit and simply completing the course is a badge of honor as not everyone will be able to cross the finish line.
The course will be 10 miles and include at least 22 obstacles designed by the British Special Forces. Only those that finish will earn the right to be called a Tough Mudder.
