Thankful for Treatment of Veterans
This Thanksgiving, Vail Cascade invited all service men and women with their families to enjoy our renowned Thanksgiving dinner, at no charge. It is the least we can do to those who serve. Guest Gary Hoffman was moved enough to put his feelings to paper, read below.
We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at the Vail Cascade. The food was well prepared and presented and the meal was excellent overall. I am in the high end service business management with NetJets, Inc. and know how valuable feedback can be. A couple of things I want to share with you.
First, your initiative and generosity in offering complimentary meals to veterans is appreciated and highly commendable. Many returning service members were not treated well in past conflicts. This marks the Vail Cascade as a business of distinction. The good will generated was a sound investment.
Second, our server, Bobby, was exceptional, and we tipped accordingly. I know that hourly workers in mountain resorts tend to turn over regularly and can be replaced easily. I found him to be alert to our needs; friendly, but not intrusive; and he delivered excellent service. I recommend you keep him as long as you can and perhaps even consider him for a management position in the future.
Thanks for a great evening. A busy holiday meal was presented with flavor and style. Please feel free to share this feedback with the Vail Cascade General Manager. He needs feedback too.
