Spring into Action with Spring Back to Vail
The snow is falling in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the season is shaping up to be great! As Vail’s only ski-in/ski-out resort, Vail Cascade guests will find themselves in the heart of all the excitement both on property and beyond as Vail turns 50. Enjoy spa and dining specials all winter long and — to sweeten the deal — experience the newest rooms in all of Vail thanks to our recent room redesign.
If you’re thinking about a winter getaway this spring, the biggest end-of-season bash in the Rocky Mountains is taking place April 8-14. Spring Back to Vail is a week of fun in the sun! With Vail turning 50 this year, we're ending the season in style with a week of free live concerts, the infamous World Pond Skimming Championships, après after-dark parties, base area giveaways, and so much more!
Here’s a quick snapshot of the activities in Vail for Spring Back to Vail:
- Friday, April 12 – Pond Skimming at Lake Golden Peak, starting at 1:30pm
- Friday, April 12 - Free Concert - O.A.R. at Ford Park, starting at 6pm
- Saturday, April 13 - Free Concert - Sublime with Rome at Ford Park, starting at 6:30pm

The legendary World Pond Skimming Championships can’t be missed! The annual competition entails floatable (and sometimes sinkable) athletes launching themselves off an on-snow jump onto an icy pond in attempt to successfully exit the pond on both feet. Competitors will vie for both fame and glory in a showing that defies the laws of physics – and perhaps even common sense. If you’ve never experienced this once-a-year event, be sure to book your Vail Cascade spring getaway for Spring Back to Vail.
In addition to the pond skimming competition and free concerts, Spring Back to Vail will have expos and giveaways from event sponsors. Learn more about the Spring Back to Vail.
