Practice Loving Kindness at Aria's Yoga Studio in Vail

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we’re opening our hearts and practicing loving kindness all month long (and beyond)! Aria’s Yoga program has classes for all levels, so we hope YOU will join us and spread some kindness.

We would like to welcome our newest yoga teachers to the Aria Yoga Kula: Geordy Ogden and Lindsea Stowe. Both Geordy and Lindsea recently completed Karen Anderson’s 200 hour teacher training program and have the enthusiasm and knowledge we are proud to encompass at Aria. Geordy is a long time Aria yoga student and ski instructor who brings a dry sense of humor and attention to detail to his teaching.  Lindsea’s classes are overflowing with loving energy and light. Thank you for extending a warm welcome to them. Congratulations Geordy and Lindsea!

Featured Yoga Student of the Month
Brittany Frank As a spring chicken & dance student, Brittany dabbled in a yoga class or two, but after a personal tragedy as a young adult, she was prescribed yoga for its therapeutic benefits. Brittany could not have imagined the extent of its possibilities to heal, and the doors it would open! Yoga continues to rejuvenate and enrapture her (and her favorite yoga partner, her hubby). This enlightenment, however, was not found through any yoga: it is only through the particular inspiration of teachers Libby Maio and Karen Anderson that one could experience such benefits.  They share with the world a magnanimous love that transforms your heart, while keeping perspective on both yoga & life what it should be: lighthearted and fun!

Featured Yoga Teacher of the Month
Karen Anderson Karen Anderson has been living in Vail for 20 years and practicing yoga for 18.  Her yoga practice began as a complement to competitive athletic training, but has become so much more: a way to discover the inner self, to relate better to others, to live ethically and peacefully. Karen is a student of the traditional Ashtanga yoga practice with Richard Freeman, as well as the hatha raja vinyasa of Andrei Ram.  She particularly enjoys therapeutic applications of yoga.  The primary focus of her current practice is meditation and its applications to daily life.

This meditation workshop taught by Karen Anderson is designed for new and experienced practitioners. Explore the practices of the heart, designed to open us to the possibility of fearless, joy-ful living. We will alternate discussion with periods of practice.
