Practice Acceptance at Aria Yoga

Practice Acceptance!

“If you begin to understand what you are without trying to change it, then what you are undergoes a transformation". - J. Krishnamurti

Goodbye
We would like to wish Beth Esser luck in her new endeavors as she relocates to a new town and new life. Thank you Beth for all you have contributed to the Aria yoga program, your dedication and humorous, loving instruction. We will miss you.

New Yoga Instructors/Free Community Class
The Aria Yoga Program would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest yoga instructors, Geordy Ogden and Lindsea Stowe. Both Geordy and Lindsea join us after completing 200 hours of yoga teacher training with Karen Anderson and years of personal practice. Geordy has been a part of our yoga community at Aria for many years and brings dedication, time on the mat and a dry sense of humor to his classes. Lindsea’s bright spirit and enthusiasm create a fun, uplifting environment that will continue to bring you into the studio. Please join them for our Free Community Class on Mondays at 8am beginning in May. These classes will help Geordy and Lindsea gain teaching experience and are FREE for everyone (members and non-members alike). Come in, bring a friend and support our new teachers.

Featured Teacher: Mike Hannigan
Originally from New York, Mike moved to Vail in 1992 to pursue the joys of free skiing.

He has been practicing yoga for about 15 years, Anasura, power, restorative... you name it, he has tried it.

Mike was teaching at Vail Athletic Club for two years, then took a year off due to injury. He started at Vail Cascade in September, 2013. For Mike, yoga gives his life balance. Mike has been bartending for almost 20 years, and the practice of yoga has eased the stresses of that job over the years. Being active in sports such as skiing, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, snowboarding, and telemark skiing, yoga keeps him flexible and strong with a calm mind in order to make adjustments and decisions that are essential for success.

Featured Student: Magdalena Pritchett
Magda is originally from Poland, and moved to Colorado about ten years ago. She has been a massage therapist for about 15 years, and has been working at the Aria Spa for about nine years. Magda has been practicing yoga since she moved to Colorado, and has been supporting the program at the Cascade ever since she started working there. Between massage and yoga, she also likes to spend her time dancing on various dance floors throughout the Vail Valley. An inspiration to fellow employees and member guests, Magda is there to support her friends who sometimes need a partner to come to class with. The prize, Magda is our yoga student of the month!!!
