Atwater's Tuna refreshes Vail Farmer's Market Crowd
Summer is finally in full swing in Vail, Colorado!
This past weekend’s Vail Famer’s Market (the largest Farmer’s Market in Colorado) was a welcome way to celebrate warm temperatures and sunny skies. Our signature restaurant, Atwater on Gore Creek, had a booth offering mouthwatering and refreshing Tuna Poke' for only $5 for a meal size portion! Chef Votaw was on hand to serve up the morsels and answer questions during the kick-off of the summer long Vail Village open-air market. Of course, diners can enjoy the tasty treat al fresco on the deck or inside Atwater on Gore Creek at the Vail Cascade Resort as well, enjoying the water-side view from windows that open out completely providing shade and the feeling of being “outside in”.
Additionally, with our Summer Solstice program now in full swing, look for cool activities such as snow cones by the pool, “dive in” movies on Fridays and this week’s speaker series on meditation with Elena Georgouses which will introduce participants to mindfulness meditation.
It’s not too late to get your visit booked for the 4th of July this year, either. A “can’t miss” time to be in the mountains, Fourth of July activities and specials at the Vail Cascade let visitors in on a local’s secret: summer is fabulous in the valley! Make sure you check out our packages and a full activity schedule at http://www.vailcascade.com/solstice-summer-activities.php
Other July 4th events in Vail: a homespun parade starting at Golden Peak and traveling through Vail Village to Lionshead, entertainment in Vail Village and Lionshead from 12-3pm, and a patriotic concert at 2pm at the Ford Amphitheater. For the grand finale, don’t miss the Vail fireworks at Golden Peak at approximately 9:45pm.
