Vail Cascade Craft Beer Update - Beer Buzz Nov 18
Are you ready for the 2015 - 2016 ski season? We are!
With two big storms under our belt and another heading our way this week, there's a lot of snow up here - especially on the top of Vail Mountain! And we've got a couple of really good reasons for you to come up and ski (or board) opening weekend with us.
1. Upslope Brewmaster's Weekend at the Vail Cascade - Join Sam Scruby, Brewmaster for Upslope Brewing Co., for two special events next weekend.
Friday night (11/20) is the Small Plates & Craft Beer Pairing in Atwater on Gore Creek. Four courses, especially created to pair with the four featured Upslope beers, are accompanied by a fantastic guided tour by the Vail Cascade Culinary Team and our featured Brewmaster. We found out that the four beers that Sam selected will be Upslope Craft Lager, Upslope Double IPA, Upslope Oatmeal Stout (new!!), and Upslope Brown Ale. Join us after a terrific opening day of skiing for an evening that will delight your taste buds and immerse you in the world of craft beer. ($35++, reservations recommended)
Saturday (11/21) is our Meet the Brewmaster apres ski scene from 4 - 7pm in the Fireside Bar. Come straight in from the mountain to sample Upslope beers and visit with Sam Scruby to learn more about Upslope and the beers that he's bringing with him. This is an open, complimentary tasting, so drop by whenever you have the opportunity. We'll be there with a beer sample or two for you! We will also have Upslope specials running thoughout the weekend.
2. Discounted Vail lodging for craft beer fans! Go to the Vail Cascade website, and use promo code VCBeer1 to find out what the rates are for the weekend. This code is always available, with floating discounts for craft beer fans. http://www.vailcascade.com/
If you even need a third reason, Atwater on Gore Creek will be unveiling its new winter menu soon as well…and is still running their 3 courses for $39 special through next weekend. It's a great time to sample some really tasty dishes and enjoy a little culinary indulgence.
To make reservations for the Upslope Small Plates & Craft Beer Pairing on Friday evening, email me at Laura@customizedcraftbeerprograms.com or call Atwater on Gore Creek at 970-479-7014.
Get those skis and boards tuned and come up to join us!
All the best -
:) Laura Lodge
